User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars A hit!
An instant favorite! We love making animal noises and “sing” and dancing our own square dance. Sandra Boynton has such wonderful children books!

5 Stars A favorite!
My son loves this book! The rhythmic words and pentameter make it fun to read and fun to listen to…Sandra Boynton is one of our favorite kid authors! This book is a ‘must have’ for any child.

4 Stars Fun to read
This is a favorite with kids - infant to kindergarden. Also fun to read since it is easy to read with a rhythm like a square dance anouncer.

4 Stars Adorable Book
My son loves this book. He likes music, and when we make this into a song for him, he bops his head to it!Mommy really likes the book too!

5 Stars THE BEST KIDS BOOK EVER!
This is one of my son’s favorites. We stomp our feet and clap our hands, do the dance with the book. He picks this book over most! He gets ready to stomp right when he hands the book to me, I love that;)

You can’t go wrong with this book. You will love this book as much as your child will.

Snuggle Puppy Boynton on Board

Snuggle Puppy Boynton on Board

A great big hug in book form, Snuggle Puppy is a year-round valentine from parent to child. It is bright, chunky, a pleasure to hold, and has a die-cut cover that reveals a glimpse of the joy inside before it’s even opened. Best of all, it’s packed, of course, with pure Boynton: her inimitable language, her inimitable illustrations, her inimitable sense of fun.

OOO, Snuggle Puppy of mine! Everything about you is especially fine. I love what you are. I love what you do. Fuzzy little Snuggle Puppy, I love you. Featuring a sweet and cuddly doggie cast and rhyming verse, Snuggle Puppy is the perfect bedtime book to read last, because of an ending that kids will want again and again: I started with OOO. . . . Now we’ll end like this: [BIG SMOOCH!]

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Can’t get enough of Boynton!
This is our favorite. I sing the song to my 18 month old every night before bed. Boynton never stops giving us something to enjoy!

5 Stars Children’s book
Sandra Boynton has many clever and entertaining children’s books available. This is certainly one of them. However, I add the following caveat: you would probably not enjoy reading it to your child if you are a traditional male or a person that would prefer not to express affection openly. I certainly hope that there are some other males out there that are comfortable with more openly loving on their child. I just wanted to make sure that you know what you’re purchasing. The book is composed as a love song to your child from the perspective of a mother dog to its puppy (mother to child). If you don’t enjoy expressing overt affectionate feelings toward your child, you probably won’t enjoy reading this book to your child. If you do, however, it’s a good opportunity to lay a couple of good kisses on the ‘little puppy’ that you love.

5 Stars Ruth
This is a great book. My grandson loves it. It’s one you done mind reading over and over.

5 Stars An amazing book!
This is the most fantastic little book ever. My daughter is only 4 months old and loves it. She lights up whenever I sing it to her. I’ve only had it for about a week but I can tell that it is going to be a family favorite. It has a great beat to it. I honestly could go on and on about how amazing this book is. But to sum it up… I make A LOT of purchases on Amazon (a very frequent shopper for over 5 years) and this is the first review I’ve felt compelled to write!

5 Stars Daughter Loves It!
Bought this for my daughter who was about a year old at the time..and she loved it! She especially loved the last part where you whisper the song, then yell out “woo~ I love you”!

Boyntons Greatest Hits Volume II The Going to Bed Book Horns to Toes Opposites But Not the Hippopotamus

Boyntons Greatest Hits Volume II The Going to Bed Book Horns to Toes Opposites But Not the Hippopotamus

The thinking’s not fuzzy in these board books, but the animals certainly are. Sandra Boynton’s familiar furry creatures introduce simple concepts in this bright collection of four books, replete with clever line drawings. In Horns and Toes and In Between, three horned monsters teach the parts of the body in rhyme: “…and we have a fuzzy TUMMY that we all like to pat / and a little BELLY BUTTON in the middle of that.” The Going to Bed Book gets a Noah’s Ark of animals organized for bed: “They hang their towels on the wall / and find pajamas, big and small.” Opposites is just that: cute animals “high and low / fast and slow / heavy and light / day and night.” In the rhyming reader But Not the Hippopotamus, a hippo finds himself on the outs as “a cat and two rats are trying on hats. / But not the hippopotamus. / A moose and a goose together have juice. / But not the hippopotamus.” Rest assured the hippo finds love at the end. 4 Stars Second volume = more maturity
These stories are a little more sophisticated than the volume I titles. “Going to Bed” and “But Not” are actual stories rather than just a flash card-style book like “A to Z” and “Opposites”. I like that the format is more indestructible compared to regular books.

1 Star Not as good
We have bought many of the Boynton books so I had no doubts that I wanted to get our almost two year old another set for Christmas. These were not as cute and catchy as the others we have. She did not sit through these like she does the others or even ask for us to read them again and again like she normally does. For a great book read “Pajama time” or “belly Button” Or “Snuggle Puppy” I do still plan to buy more of her books but I wish these had been a better.

5 Stars boynton’s greatest hits
I like that there are 4 books together, they were for my grandson, he loves them all.

5 Stars Great Value!
This is a great start for any young child’s book collection. I’ve been reading Boynton to my daughter since she was an infant. She is now 2 and still loves them and “reads” them back to me. I purchased this set for $15 here on Amazon. Individual retail value would be $24+. This is a steal.

5 Stars Absolutelly wonderful
My one and a half year old daughter loves them.

She first got “The going to bed book” as a gift from her aunt living in the States and even though we are not english native speakers, she keeps wanting me to read it again and again and again…

I decided to buy more SB’s book and she seems to love them all… maybe that was one of the best purchases I got through Amazon…

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars What?? Every thing that Boynton does is 5 stars!
Nitpicking about Sandra Boynton? What??!! Have you no sense of humor? Do you think it is easy to be the wittiest, wackiest, most wonderful children’s books author in a generation? She is up there with Dr. Seuss, Virginia Burton, AA Milne. A Classic.

Boynton’s humor is respectful to kids AND adults. Most of the time, I laugh and laugh all over again just looking at the pictures, let alone the text. I defy anyone who can read any one of these volumes and not laugh and smile. I have my own set that I read to my kids and I have given these books to so many new parents telling them that I envy them the joy, the privilege of the first of many wonderful readings of these terrific books to their little angels.

5 Stars Great
This has been my kids favorite author as first books. I am now getting them for nieces and nephews. Adults actually like reading them repeatedly.

5 Stars My Son Loves these Books
I bought these books when he was 1 now he’s 2 1/2 and he still loves them. Has multiple memorized. They’re simple and fun books.

5 Stars Love, Love, Love these books.
My son loves ANY Sandra Boynton book. They have great pictures and they are fun to read. They are board books so they stand up to alot of use! I highly recommend anyone with small children to buy these books!

5 Stars Boynton Board Books Higly Recommended
I highly recommend these books for all little ones. My two year old read these by herself and now reads them to her baby brother. The predictive, yet humorous text and entertaining pictures make this a pleasure to read for both children and adults!

Moo Baa La La La

These whimsical and hilarious books, featuring nontraditional texts and her famous animal characters, have been printed on thick board pages, and are sure to educate and entertain children of all ages.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star My kid hates this book
It’s probably a fine book, but every time I pick it up she starts screaming, “No, no!” So I really have no idea what it’s about.

5 Stars Love this book!
I bought it for my 6 month old boy. He loves it because as I read it I actually make the sounds the animals make. Cute book to read to your infant and toddler.

5 Stars Daughter LOVES this book
My 18 month old daughter absolutely loves this book. We do not own it but her daycare does and she is always bringing this book to me to read. One of her favorites!

5 Stars Best board book! (one of them-anyway!)
We absolutely loved this book since we got it. It is getting close to retirement as the pages have lovingly been worn to the brink of falling apart. Great visuals - fun and simple cartoons. The words are fashioned to rhyme and have definite appeal to kids - newborn and up. There is nothing I would change about this classic.

5 Stars My Daughter’s Favorite!
I bought this for my one year old daughter. It is so difficult at this age for her to pay attention to a book, let alone request one- but that has changed! She loves this book! She walks around saying, “la, la, la!” She makes all the animal noises, too. At bedtime, it makes her so happy- even when she is having a tantrum about bedtime, all we have to say is, “Moo Baa La?” and she will “moo” or “la” even through her tears. It is too cute. I have bought more of this author’s books, and she likes several of them. I highly recommend!!
